Ballet Kelowna Announces Pirouette Honorary Chairs

Ballet Kelowna is pleased to announce the new Honorary Chairs for Pirouette 2009 are Pat & Linda Aldous, succeeding 2008 Honorary Chairs Walter and Doreen Gray.  The Grays were instrumental in getting Pirouette - Ballet Kelowna's new signature fundraising event - off the ground and achieving tremendous success in its first year.  They will continue to support Ballet Kelowna in their role as Past Honorary Chairs.

"I know the success of Pirouette will continue to grow by leaps
and bounds
with the support of our new Honorary Chairs Pat & Linda Aldous" notes President Laura Doncom.

The Aldouses are avid supporters of the Arts as well as many other worthy initiatives including the Rotary Centre for the Arts where
they were Evergreen Honorary Chairs in 2004.

Linda has served, for a number of years, on the Kelowna General
Hospital Foundation whose responsibilities include the highly successful Heart of Gold fundraiser.  Pat has served on numerous boards, including the Okanagan Symphony and most recently has joined the Board of Directors for the Rugby Canada Foundation.
Pat & Linda fully appreciate the value of the Arts in our community.  Pat attributes many of his successes as an athlete, student and in business to the lessons learned as a member of Arthur Delamont's Kitsilano Boys Band where young people learned to strive for and achieve excellence.

Pirouette 2009 will be held on Friday, February 6th and features an opening highlight performance followed by a dinner and auction.  For more information contact Debbie MacMillan, Event Coordinator 250-764-4803.

On behalf of Ballet Kelowna, Debbie MacMillan receives a cheque from Terry Kimble, branch manager of St. George Moving & Storage.

St. George Moving & Storage donated back all their expenses, totally $5,540.06, to
Ballet Kelowna for their recent fund-raiser, Pirouette.
